Early Resolution Process

Our early resolution process deals swiftly and effectively with complaints that we believe can be resolved without a formal investigation.

The kinds of complaints we will consider for the early resolution process concern:

  • unreasonable delay or service
  • poor communication
  • lack of information
  • failure to provide an explanation

Complaints involving administrative tribunals are not suitable for the early resolution process.

The early resolution process is appropriate for complaints that we expect can be resolved within five business days.

Here are some comments we have already received on the early resolution process:

All has been successfully resolved. Thank goodness for the democratic process. All hail the Ombudsman's Office. I'd like to say an especial "thank you" to you ….for orchestrating everything in such an efficient and a competent manner. I can't believe that you've helped me to accomplish in a week what I couldn't accomplish for seven months on my own!

“The issue worked out fabulously...Thank you very much for your assistance...Greatly appreciate everything you have done for myself and my sons."
