What kind of complaints can the Ombudsperson investigate?

Complaints may be about the unfair administrative decisions or actions of a public agency, including delay, rudeness, negligence, arbitrariness, oppressive behaviour or unlawfulness.

A list of the agencies and organizations that fall under the Ombudsperson's jurisdiction can be found here. If we can't deal with your complaint, we'll do our best to refer you to someone who can.

The Ombudsperson has discretion to decide whether complaints will be investigated.

Who can make a complaint?

The Ombudsperson may investigate complaints from individuals or groups of people.
